Fernanda Trevellin

As part of the Welt ohne Außen exhibition, Prime Matter works with recovering, through contact with the structured and stable frequency of quartz, water’s former biological and energetic structure. This work can be analyzed, contemplated, and tasted using the senses and imagination - approaching one with several qualities that make water ‘alive’. Macro, micro, atomic, physical, material, non-material, visible and invisible levels - there are a large spectrum of frequencies with which to become involved. Trevellin’s work looks at water and its various dimensions, as a material resource and as an ‘Entity’ which sustains life.

Welt Ohne Außen is curated by Thomas Oberender and Tino Sehgal, with concept & program by Isabel Lewis. The exhibition traces a development from the pioneers of immersive installations to contemporary artistic practices, bringing together a wide range of art forms and disciplines. The exhibition develops a unique dramaturgy that allows visitors to enter into these immersive spaces, with each work unfolding within its own temporality.
